Review of Xcaret’s Cancun catamaran to Isla Mujeres, with snorkeling, beach club, lunch, drinks, logistics, costs, and practical booking advice.

“I chose this snorkelling adventure because we were over 60 and the other ones wouldn't take people over the age of 60. So we were very surprised once on board to find out we couldn't snorkel and that it was a harbour master rule of 60 years of age. When I booked the tour I said in the comments our ages and that we were great swimmers but I think that since everyone has so little English that the comment was passed over. When we checked in though the lady didn't say anything about it when she saw our ID. Other people said the snorkelling wasn't good anyway because of…”

“I booked this thinking it would be a chill catamaran trip to the beautiful Isla mujeres for our family with little kids. It was a booze cruise and a bit of a tourist trap and we didn’t see any of the beauty of the island that we had heard about. -the music was blasting on the boat the whole time, it was fun but be aware, not everyone seemed to be loving it -the company seems to operate 15+ boats so when you check in it is a zoo with people trying to sell you stuff, a long line and poor communication about what’s going on -all 15 of those…”

By the time all of us got off the boat, there was not much time to snorkel. The island water is nice and calm and makes for a nice beach afternoon.”

“An Unforgettable Experience! The Hip Hop Catamaran Party was absolutely the highlight of my Cancun trip! From the moment we boarded, the energy was amazing—great music, a lively atmosphere, and the crew kept everyone entertained and safe. The views sailing to Isla Mujeres were stunning, and the stop for snorkeling was both fun and refreshing. Drinks flowed, the DJ kept the vibe perfect with nonstop hip hop, and the entire boat felt like one big family enjoying the ride. Isla Mujeres was beautiful, with plenty of time to explore, relax, and shop before heading back with the party still going. If you’re looking for a mix of adventure, relaxation, and…”

“One company with over 60 different listings under different names. Buffet was not as described in listing, not properly or safely stored, unlabeled and sufficient time was not provided given significant delays. Bottled water not provided. Cups were being reused and recycled by bar staff between unknowing passengers which is a health and safety risk”

“First and Foremost, the information provided was that the cruise started at 11:30 am and to arrive 10 minutes before departure or 11:20 am. We arrived at 11:20 and were told the boat doesn’t leave until 12:30 pm. So, we were forced to sit in a horrible hut for an hour waiting to leave at 12:30 pm. The information provided is misleading and needs to be corrected. It’s wrong to put anyone in this situation by providing the wrong time for departure. Very disappointing.”
